Our story
Hello there! We are Daria and Rafael and Sancho Pancho is our family project, that was born in 2020 in Lisbon, just in the middle of the pandemic.
What started as an idea to give the best possible food to our two beloved dogs (Pancho and Oli), has transformed into a growing sustainable dog food business.
It all began with our quest to find the best diet for our dogs and spoil our paws with homemade recipes of dog biscuits, when at the same time, restaurant owner and our friend Édson Neves had opened Sekai Sushibar and was challenged
with using up the fish he bought because of changing covid regulations. This sparked the idea of using discarded fish parts for making dog treats and initiated a new business venture to tackle food waste.
From food waste to dog treats
